Tuesday Night Hangout
Who: This program is most appropriate for young adults with autism or other related social challenges who need more support.
What: Our Tuesday Night Hangout is for our members that need more support. The evening consists of two hours of fun, friendship, and social skills practice, along with a pizza dinner and many options of activities to do during that time.
When: Tuesdays from 5:00-7:00pm
Friday & Saturday Night Hangout
Who: This program is most appropriate for young adults with autism or other related social challenges who are more independent.
What: A Unique three-hour social skills experience providing valuable social skills for everyday activities.
When: Fridays & Saturdays from 6:00-9:00pm
Who: This program is most appropriate for women 18+ years with autism or other related social challenges who need more support.
What: Girl Talk is a group that allows young women to get together to share ideas, successes, and struggles in a safe and non-judgmental environment. The group will meet at Living & Learning, but, from time to time, will visit different establishments in the area based on where the group decides to go. The goal of Girl Talk is to provide socialization, friendship, and mentoring.
When: Tuesdays from 4:30-5:30 pm
Who: Young adults 20+ who are more independent.
What: The 20’s group is a small group that supports one another! Weekly topics range from giving/receiving advice on personal situations, setting goals for school and/or work, discussing new movies, games, or events, and just enjoying each other’s company.
When: Saturdays from 4:30–5:30pm
Who: This program is most appropriate for boys and girls who are more independent, ages 11-14 years old.
What: This will include friendship building through interests of the group which might include Legos, board games, creative projects, interactive games and other fun topics. Encouraging each child with Peer-to-Peer support to create & build friendship making skills!
When: Saturdays from 10:00–11:00am
