Intro to Pottery

What:
This class will introduce students to clay. We will cover basic hand-building techniques, stages of clay and the glazing process. Students can expect to complete 2-3 projects in a 4-week session.

When:
Wednesdays from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM

What:
This class will introduce students to clay. We will cover basic hand-building techniques, stages of clay and the glazing process. Students can expect to complete 2-3 projects in a 4-week session. This is a 2:1 supported classroom where students will have assistance in creating ceramic pieces that relate to their interests.

When:
Thursdays from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Draw and Sketch

Who:
12+ 

What:
#2 pencils and white drawing paper. Learn basic cartooning and drawing skills. This class is for all ages and abilities. A new drawing idea will be introduced each week, and the instructor will guide the students by drawing along with them. Students can incorporate their own ideas.

When:
Fridays from 5:00 pm – 6:00pm

Sensory Art

Who:
Most appropriate for teens and adults that need more support.

What:
Students in this course will be introduced to art that relates to the participants senses. This class focuses on the process and exploration of sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch.

When:
Saturdays from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM

Intro to Painting

Who:
Inclusive- Teens and Young Adults

What:
Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of painting while learning through a variety of painting techniques and subject matter. Participants will learn the concepts of color, form, and space while exploring acrylic paints with an assortment of traditional and adaptive tools.

When:
Saturdays 2:30 PM–4:00 PM

What:
This is an ability-based program supported by trained staff that will help each student to find the materials and processes specific to their interests. Students will have access to a variety of art-making processes, including painting, ceramics, drawing, and mixed media. Artists will be taking a lead role in creating their own artwork available for community exhibitions and sale.
