Job Development Lead
Reports To:
Job Development Lead will report to the Job Development Coordinator and Director of Vocational Services.
Description, Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Implement the job development process with meetings, job searching in the community, follow-ups with employers, job placements, job coaching (see next bullet), and job maintenance.
- Job coaching will entail assisting the job coach with meeting the member and employer for the first day of work. The lead will monitor the goals being worked on with each member that is receiving job coaching and assist job coaches when problems/concerns occur. The lead will be responsible to fill in any necessary fill-ins for job coaching. The lead will report to the job coaches during the bi-weekly team meetings.
- Writing reports
- Completing MRS authorizations (invoice, report, and verification/requests if necessary); have ready for Ethan to sign.
- Taking initiative to go out and create connections with employers for job opportunities, collect their information, and follow-up as often as needed.
- Creating your own scheduled meetings with members/families for job readiness and job placement.
- Checking in on members and with their managers that are no longer receiving job coach supports.
- Keeping open lines of communication on phone and emails with members, families, and employers (24-hr response time).
- Taking on the leadership role by supporting our job coaching staff and presenting as a person of contact for questions/concerns. This will also include management level meetings in which information is meant just to be discussed amongst management.
Preferred Experience
- 1+ years’ experience in similar field.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in comparable studies.
Job Coach- Immediate ($15-$18 per hour)
Job Description:
Job coaches will work directly with Living and Learning members in the local community to develop job skills, promote problem-solving, self-advocacy, and independence, as well as foster a supportive and nurturing environment. This involves supporting our members in learning to complete job tasks, providing emotional and behavioral support, and monitoring and evaluating the progress of members with the goal of transitioning them into long-term employment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Execute job coaching plans made specific to each member.
- Promote independence and efficiency while also ensuring the wellbeing of members.
- Help in the development of motivation and skills.
- Formally document member information and progress notes.
Qualifications:
Minimum Experience
- 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Experience
- 1+ years experience in similar field.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in comparable studies.
License/Certification:
- Driver’s License
