Job Development Coach

Job Description:
Job coaches will work directly 1 on 1 with LLEC members in the local community to develop the necessary skills required to independently work at their workplace. This involves communicating with employers, conducting plans of service to transition our members into working independently, and providing emotional and behavioral support for our members throughout their job development process. Once an individual establishes an ideal production rate they will transition to working independently. The job development coach will continue to periodically communicate with the members and employer to ensure goals and feedback and effectively managed.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Execute job development coaching plans made specific to each member.
- Promote independence and efficiency while ensuring the wellbeing of members.
- Directly communicate with business managers on member progress, goals, and feedback.
- Formally document member information and progress notes.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period.
- May be required to climb stairs, walk, run, stoop, kneel and crouch.
- Must be able to lift at least 20lbs.
Qualifications:
Minimum Experience
- 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma
- Valid driver’s license (required)
Preferred Experience:
- 1+ years’ experience in similar field.

Music Therapist
Job Description:
Living and Learning Enrichment Center seeks a compassionate and experienced Music Therapist to support our social skills program for teens and adults with disabilities. The role combines the therapeutic benefits of music therapy with a focus enhancing member’s social, emotional, and life skills in an engaging and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead individual and group sessions focused on enhancing members’ social skills, fostering self-expression, and supporting emotional well-being through interactive music
- Lead group activities focusing on verbal and non-verbal communication, social interactions, and friendship skills. Design sessions that align with members’ needs and the program’s objectives.
- Use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to address social behaviors, enhance communication, and promote positive peer to peer interactions in a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive manner.
- Consistent demonstration of patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to various needs of the members to provide a positive and supportive experience.
- Report on member progress, program outcomes, and any incidents or high-risk behaviors to the Program Director.
- Demonstration of strong interpersonal skills by collaborating with and maintaining open and effective communication with other staff
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a music-related degree program or completed coursework in music therapy or a similar field
- Proficiency in at least 1 musical instrument
- 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma
- Valid driver’s license and CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass a background check
- Physical ability to meet role requirements (e.g., standing, lifting 20 lbs)
- 1+ years’ experience working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Music Therapy (Board-Certified Music Therapist – MT-BC required)
- 1+ years’ experience working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities
- Experience as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or background in a related field such as, psychology, special education, or recreation therapy

This involves supporting our members in learning to complete job tasks, providing emotional and behavioral support, and monitoring and evaluating the progress of members with the goal of transitioning them into long-term employment.

- Help in the development of motivation and skills.
- Formally document member information and progress notes.

The Social Skills Program Facilitator will work directly with teens and adults with disabilities in group settings, utilizing aspects of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles to develop their social and life skills in a fun and meaningful way. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with individuals with diverse needs, has experience in creating person-centered learning opportunities and other activities, and is dedicated to fostering the growth of social and life skills with our members.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Facilitate social skills groups, focusing on verbal and non-verbal communication, social interaction, problem-solving, and friendship development for teens and adults with disabilities
- Occasionally develop and implement group plans that are tailored to the needs of members and the program itself
- Utilize ABA principles to address behaviors and promote positive social interactions, while ensuring that interventions are culturally sensitive, and trauma informed.
- Consistent demonstration of patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to various needs of the members to provide a positive and supportive experience.
- Adhere to a fixed schedule, ensuring continuity of care for our members and consistent participation in programs.
- Report on member progress, program outcomes, and any incidents or high-risk behaviors to the Program Director.
- Demonstration of strong interpersonal skills by collaborating with and maintaining open and effective communication with other staff
Qualifications
